Introduction
The Mobile Cad Terminal (MCT) has the sole purpose of bringing data to your unit from the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. With the MCT in your unit you can gain valuable information about the call you are responding to and history attached to locations. Units using MCT should continue to check in on the radio as usual. The system is not intended for entertainment of the crew and therefore games and other activity is strictly forbidden.
The MCT consists of a computer with mobile CAD software connected to a special radio modem. The radio modem connects the computer through the mobile data radio system to the County’s network at a central point. The mobile data radio system is very secure, unlike contemporary wireless 2.4 LAN.
Every character of every message, every entry submitted is recorded by the system. Do not enter false information or information you would not want associated with your name!
